Charlie Major has been a star in his native Canada for a decade, where he's put out four albums and won three Junos, seven Canadian Country Music Awards and six RPM Big Country Awards.

He's never given into the need for saccharine sweetness that it takes to make it big on US country radio, and with his independent spirit was a good match for Dead Reckoning. With the release of 444 on Dead Reckoning, Major moved into the United States market. He sought a more relaxed style on this record, and it shows, with such songs as "Why Don't We Stay Home Tonight" and his duet with Cowboy Junkies' Margo Timmons on Bob Dylan's "Oh Sister."
